Event
dedicated to research and new technologies for the tanning industry
of the future.Italy, with its long and qualified tanning tradition,
will host IULTCS next world congress: the 28th edition of the prestigious
event will take place in Florence from March 9 through 12- 2005 with
a particularly interesting program in terms of technical-scientific
contents, round tables and fringe events. During the working days, the
Meeting will concentrate on the theme: "Research and new technologies
for the future of the tanning industry".
In the Italian tanning frame, more and more oriented to increase innovation
and creativity levels, the Congress will be a fundamental occasion to
investigate the possibilities to improve the whole tanning cycle with
relation to the world future challenges that will be played on the commercial
field and more incisively in technological research, environment safeguard
and qualitative performance of the manufactured leathers.
As usual, the presented papers and the suggestions they
will provide will be the predominant part of the event. These papers
will concern the whole tanning cycle, ranging from raw materials to
finished leathers, and will touch aspects connected with chemical processes,
plant engineering (machines, plants, treatment processes, etc.), the
recovery and reuse of solid and liquid wastes.
All the abstracts shall define precisely the aims of the study, a synthetic
description of the research, the methods of analysis applied, and a
synthesis of the results obtained.
A few substantial innovations compared with the past
editions will by introduced in the session dedicated to Posters that,
in Florence Meeting,
will be re-named "Visual Display Session". In this area, every author
will have his own space where he can use his own audiovisual media to
make his exposition more effective and complete.
Moreover the Visual Display author will have five minutes at disposal
to present his work in the conference room at the end of oral memories
sessions.
Who wishes to propose a communication shall send a wide abstract to
the Technical-Scientific Committee by May 30th, 2004, written in one
of the two languages (English or Italian) and paged in the way he prefers;
the maximum length of the page shall be A4 format.
The Technical-Scientific Committee will use these abstracts
exclusively to evaluate and select the works for acceptance; later the
Committe will communicate to the authors whether the proposal has been
accepted or not and the presentation modalities (oral communication
or visual display).
