CALL FOR PAPERS

Instructions for submission of abstracts:

Abstracts must be sent to abqtic@abqtic.com.br by November 30, 2007, marked
'c/o XVII FLAQTIC Congress Scientific and Technical Committee'.

Presentations must meet high standards of scientific or technological content as well a substantial degree of innovation. The results of work to be presented must remain unpublished until after the Congress. Presentations that advertise or deal solely with the use of proprietary products or commercial brands shall not be accepted.

Scientific and Technical subjects for lectures and posters/visual presentations (as well as others related to leather processing):

- raw materials;
- beamhouse;
- tanning;
- post-tanning;
- drying and finishing;
- machinery, equipment and related software;
- leather processing emerging technologies;
- technical specifications for leather;
- water consumption management;
- chemical product consumption management;
- production management in tanneries;
- environmental management systems;
- treatment of industrial liquid, solid and atmospheric waste;
- quality management and control;
- energy utilization management;
- occupational health and safety.

Official languages of the Congress: Spanish and Portuguese.

Llamado a la presentación de trabajos

Instrucciones para envío de resúmenes:
El plazo para envío de resúmenes vence el 30 de noviembre de 2007. Los mismos deben enviarse al e-mail abqtic@abqtic.com.br, ‘A la atención del Comité Científico-Técnico del XVII Congreso FLAQTIC’.

Temas técnico-científicos para presentaciones orales (conferencias) y visuales (posters):

Las presentaciones deben alcanzar elevados estándares de contenido científico-técnico y un significativo grado de novedad. Los resultados de los trabajos presentados no deben publicarse antes del congreso. Las presentaciones que publiciten o se refieran al uso de productos comerciales no serán aceptadas.

Temas científico-técnicos para conferencias y postres/presentaciones visuales (así como otros temas relacionados al procesamiento de cuero):
- materia prima;
- ribera;
- curtido;
- pos-curtido;
- secado y acabado;
- máquinas, equipos y software relacionados;
- tecnologías emergentes de procesamiento de cuero;
- especificaciones técnicas para cuero;
- gestión del consumo de agua;
- gestión do consumo de productos químicos;
- gestión de la producción en curtiembres;
- sistemas de gestión ambiental;
- tratamiento de residuos industriales líquidos, sólidos y atmosféricos;
- gestión y control de la calidad;
- gestión de la utilización de energía;
- salud y seguridad ocupacionales.
